How Long to Wait to Stain Fence After Pressure Washing

There are a lot of things that can contribute to someone deciding to buy a home, but the potential investment opportunity provides might be the single biggest factor. A big part of the reason why that is the case has to do with the fact that homes tend to become incredibly profitable if you live in them for long enough, so if you are looking for a long term investment you would be hard pressed to find one that is as effective or profitable as home ownership in some way, shape or form.

However, you can’t just buy a home and expect to get a profit from it if you don’t take care of it at any given point in time. One thing that you can do if you want to sell your home for a massive markup is to use pressure washing to maintain the look and feel of your fencing. You might not think that the fence that surrounds your home on all sides is all that relevant or important, but you’d be surprised at just how much of an impact it can actually have.

That said, pressure washing your fence can remove the outer stain coating for its surface, so you should apply a new layer once the fence has dried. Waiting until the same time on the subsequent day is usually adequate because it lets your fence dry to the point where staining becomes feasible enough to try out. The fence might still be moist inside, so experiment a bit first to see if it is ready for the staining otherwise you might need to wait a bit longer to be safe.
